3 Weight Loss Hacks

1 - Fasted cardio

Fasting in its simplest form is refraining from consuming any calories for a short period of time. Fasted cardio is one of the most effective ways to get rid of that stubborn body fat.

There are numerous health benefits to fasting properly but in regards to fat loss one of the major ones is the following: Once your body is in a fasted state, insulin levels are at a low baseline level. In this state it has been proven that the body is able to mobilize and burn more fat cells than when levels are elevated. Studies have also shown that blood flow to stubborn areas like the abdomen is increased while doing fasted cardio. The more blood flow to the area, means more fat-burning chemicals allowing for a higher rate of fat cells burned off.

In the morning before breakfast, try doing High Intensity Cardio 3-4 times a week for 25-30 minutes for an effective switch up. Make sure to stay hydrated.

2 – Monitor carb consumption

If you're eating carbohydrates consistently throughout the day, your body has a steady supply of sugar and won't burn stored fat. Even if you're really lean, eating carbs constantly will make your body really good at using sugar and less effective at using fat at rest. So if fat loss is your main goal, monitoring carb consumption is crucial.

Try to consume most of your carbs around your workout. Also try setting a limit on your carbohydrate consumption, 100 grams a day would be a good goal for anyone trying to lose weight. Try replacing what you would usually eat for carbs with leafy greens.

3 - Avoid sugar

"How many carbs should i eat, what fats are good, which type of diet should i do" are usually at the forefront of people’s mind but if we were to just focus on staying away from refined sugars it would make a world of difference. Amongst numerous health risks that are associated with consuming added sugar, it also packs on the weight. This goes for organic and all-natural added sugar as well.

Get used to reading labels if it says sugar or some form of it, stay away. Things like fruit and vegetables are fine and are encouraged to be eaten (in moderate amounts) but if it's added sugar, don't do it.

Try setting a goal for yourself that is based on a time period without added sugar. Could be as simple as no soda for 30 days or go all the way and completely cut it out.
